Sometimes the Hermit still needs a little bit of encouragement
Today I pulled the Hermit in response to ‘how do I approach today?’
You might pose the question ‘through what lens would it be useful or helpful to view my present situation?’
The Hermit.
While the Hermit gives me the confidence that he knows himself and follows his own instincts on the path for him. In terms of looking for advice this card says ‘don’t ask me ask yourself!’.
I relate to the Hermit, who’s someone who does some soul searching, I don’t see the Hermit as solitary, more as a singular person, who is prepared to step out of the crowd in order to follow their own counsel, someone who’s integrity is key. Quite often they are leaders in the sense that they take the road less travelled…and thereby encourage us to do the same. Often the Hermit is a teacher, mentor, counsellor. What is important to the Hermit is following his own truth, and he’s prepared to take one step at a time, and not know the outcome, as long as he thinks he is heading in the right direction, on the path that is right for him
Given I have this stiff hand inflammation thing going on which at this precise moment has no diagnosis and is decidely upsetting as I’m unable to paint, play tennis…and in general makes me feel slow and clumsy….so i asked for a little help to go with the Hermit….and got the Knight of Cups accompanied by the Empress.
Follow your own instincts, be idealistic, believe in love, it will reap its rewards?
At first glance, although ‘good’ cards….the meaning mystifies.
The Knight of cups represents an emotional offer, it also represents moving forward in a deliberate purposeful if peaceful way to make the world a happier place and in search of the holy grail.
The Empress is about abundance, generosity, harvesting what you have sown, about giving birth, about fertility, fecundity and creativity.
One way to read this combo might be…continue to move forward in search of the holy grail with your heart open wanting to make the world a better place….And you will harvest abundance, your search will be fertile.
The only thing about the knight of cups is he can be very idealistic and put others and ideals on a pedestal from which it is easy to fall. But perhaps in the situation I am in, only the kind of idealistic belief in possibility is going to harvest a result?
Clinging to straws here….. certainly the knight of cups has hope and idealism and a steady belief that keeps him moving forward. I’ll take that. And hope for the Empress!
