I think there may be. The Ten of Swords is probably the most blood thirsty looking card in the Tarot deck, which is unnerving since it is a card about the process of TRANSFORMATION.

It turns out the Tarot has a card for when the sun is shining, birds are tweeting, families are strolling on the beach and all is well with the world. It’s the Ten of Cups, which shows a happy family, children playing underneath a rainbow and ten full cups.

Feeling overwhelmed can literally stop you in your tracks, as you loose clarity and direction and thereby momentum…..hence a perfect time to get gain a wider perspective, and be able to decide what’s important…

Sometimes we are looking at life the wrong way…..having a tarot reading can remind us of the potential ahead …

The Tarot even has a card for Why bother? The picture on the 4 of cups shows a man sitting with his arms folded in front of him looking decidedly glum…..there’s a cup being held out to him, which he is not taking. The card reminds me of a child who puts on a bolshy face that says ‘ I don’t like greens and I have absolutely no intention of eating any’….

The Emperor is a card of empowerment, he knows that in order to achieve his passion, he has to harness determination and discipline and armour up his feelings.

We all do it from time to time….self-sabotage….allow ourselves to become trapped in negative thinking, self-criticism, our doubts and fears…

I love the Fool. There’s a wonderful feeling of hope and enthusiasm that comes from just looking at the card. There’s a youth, who looks rather like the court jester, off on a brand new journey. He doesn’t know what’s ahead but …..

For anyone who’s not feeling it……Happy that is… I have news for you, I’m not surprised, the card I pulled was the TOWER…

All Queens are QUEENS. However each Queen has a very different approach to how they reign their kingdoms.

I never really connect to the Queen of Cups even though she is kind, trusting and loving….

‘Stuck’ anywhere suggests ‘stuck’ energy and stuck energy means you are not in the flow of life, and invariably not feeling inspired to do anything…

I personally find ‘not knowing what to do’ one of the most energy draining, frustrating, miserable places to be….

This birthday one of my presents (along with this website that a very dear kind clever friend made for me) was the most beautiful bee pendant.

I have written about tarot over the last twenty years, initially to explore the meaning and potential of each card when I was learning and since then, writing copious notes on the many readings I have done as I still find Tarot utterly fascinating……this is my first blog.
