Being given Direction in a tarot reading

Week 1 of the New Year and still little clarity about the direction I’d like to head toward, nor what I really want this year.

I’ve been wondering is it more ‘being’…..more connection and peace of mind or is it more ‘doing’ ? more achievement….writing that book? building my practice? something different?

I don’t want the same uncertainty as last year is all I know.

He gets on higher ground, to survey his options clearly in order to be decisive

So I pull a card for the day…Page of Swords. The page of swords, takes action, he holds up his sword of truth and takes a good look around. He goes for what he wants, he’s strategic and opportunistic. (not a ‘being’/ feeling sort of card, unless you call going for what you want a strong sense of both!)

Hmm. ok clarification please. And I pulled the Hermit.

He follows his own instincts, his own light, step by step on the path that is right for him. Following his ‘truth’ and integrity are powerful drivers.

The Hermit is the tarot card I most identify with. This person follows his own path in his own way, and is quite singular in his/her ideas, someone who has to live by his/her integrity and ‘truth’. And indeed the Hermit has shown me step by step the path I have been on for a while now, of Tarot and Energy Healing. The Hermit looks inward to know and be true to themselves, so it seems this energy is still with me this year. The Hermit teaches us to be true to ourselves and is often a Teacher.

The quintessential business man.

Tell me more…where will that lead I wondered and I pulled King of Pentacles. Hard work, building a business, making money, becoming established.

So no sitting on my laurels (ha!). It looks like I am being encourage to go for what I want! and even though I don’t know quite what it is, the Hermit will show me step by step if I keep true to myself. Perhaps the Teacher quality of the Hermit relates to tarot reading, as the key element I wish to impart is for us to trust our own instincts in order to follow the path that is right for us.

So it sounds as if I am being encouraged to keep building on the business I have. I am reminded also of the 10 of cups last week, emotional fulfilment for ourselves and others, which feels like community and being a team player.
