Journaling with Tarot for Enriching your life as well as for personal growth.
When everyone is getting geared up for Halloween and having tarot readings….I wanted to write about the enriching, nourishing, live enhancing aspect of tarot reading.
Today I thought I’d have some fun with a theme I have been playing with about stages of personal growth starting with the importance of releasing (the past/toxins/negativity) the theory being you then have space, an opening to be restored back to oneself, an essential essence of you, without all that. From there we are able to tune in and reconnect to spirit, to where you are right now, to what is going on…… in order to be able to RESET.
In order to set up our day perhaps, it doesn’t have to be about the whole direction of our lives, but a just for today thought, just for today potential.
And then I like to pull a best way forward, next step.
Card no 1.
Release – Death…..it’s the end of an era and the beginning of another, let go of the past version of you and your life. Ps it is not easy letting go of an era….still with the ace of pentacles as my reset card – that speaks of a new opportunity, that the seed is already sown for a new start….it makes this card a bit easier to manage. I will admit I am finding the process painful, grief might be the emotion I am experiencing. Letting go of the me I loved being because I have come to an age when I don’t see myself playing tennis any more, or taking up padel instead even….grief! the perfect example of the astonishing power of journaling. Until I forced myself to write about this, I didn’t realise that I am grieving.
I do find in a tarot reading I tend to skip over the grieving part. When your dog dies, you grieve. I am grieving.
Card no 2. Restore
– high priestess …..i always say about the high priestess, is that she is the wise part of ourselves that is able to step a little back from our every day selves, keep her emotions at her feet and negotiate life, the good and the bad, the light and the dark, yin and yang. And of course receiving this card reminds me of this part of me that knows all this.
Card no 3.
Reconnect – 3 of pentacles….interesting the three of pentacles is the card of collaboration and making plans, building new foundations from which to grow …..i feel I am being told we are building new foundations and to reconnect to these plans and keep on building.
Card no 4.
Reset – ace of pentacles…..think of this as a new opportunity….and perhaps do new things?
Card no 4.
Best way forward – 3 of cups….celebrate, connect, engage, be social, enjoy life, friends, people in general, have a good time.
