Tarot for when you are trying to decide what to do!
This is when it’s time for what I call the ‘take a look at your options to help make a decision’ tarot spread. A favourite with my clients.
I pull the first card to represent ‘you in relation to the situation/question’
And then cards for each of the options.
We read them and discuss…
And then pull an advice card to go with each option.
It doesn’t necessarily give you a decisive answer, but it does you a fresh perspective on the whole scenario and understanding of each option. Even with advice cards you might need to do a bit of soul searching to decide.
Here’s mine as an example this morning.
The Ten of Pentacles speaks of our legacy…
I pulled the ten of pentacles for me in relation to the situation. The ten of pentacles is about the legacy you are building, which generally includes your efforts toward your career, building financial security and position in society/the market, and family….it has a working ‘for the generations’ vibe. See grandparents, family, children, dogs et al in this card with ten (completion) pentacles money, position, society, energy. Which is definitely where I am at, very concious of building a life that includes work and family, friendships and quality of life.
Next I pulled three cards for my three options.
The ten of cups
Six of cups
10 of swords.
Beautifully and accurately describing my three options
A birthday party for a family (me being asked to be the tarot reader). the Ten of pentacles is the card of happy families, emotional fulfilment for ourselves and others.
moving forward, harmony, old friends, shared values, simple life i.e enjoying the weekend with friends
An out of control situation that’s going on (enough said)
So advice?
The King of Wands….follow your passion, be entrepreneurial, charismatic, a leader in your field
The World…..a card of fulfilment, being in the right place at the right time, complete, whole
The Queen of Cups…..who offers unconditional love and is caring…
Again very apt advice for each situation. So what to do.
Exploring different options tarot reading.
Initially tempted by the World…..as who doesn’t want to experience a sense of completion and fulfilment being in the right place at the right time…however I knew before I received the King of Wands that I was excited by the idea of the tarot birthday party….and was torn about the weekend… to give up….the World? The Queen of Cups perfect advice for me in the situation, being caring, didn’t inspire….whereas the King of Wands is driven by his passion, and in this case it is my passion for Tarot and for building my business and reputation (very king of Wands) not to mention financial reward (10 of pentacles).
Decision made. Thanks Tarot. Such a relief as always to make a decision, especially hard to make when all three options would have been good. It would have taken me another day of procrastination to decide and I might have missed out on the 10 of cups? Or not, as it happens.
Do come and have a tarot reading with me online or in person. Online works just as well by the way. Don’t ask me how.
