How do they work?
My feeling is two people prepared to come together and see what insights they can receive from a tarot reading immediately sets up a willingness to take an honest look at their relationship to see what’s going on via a safe third impartial party. That’s me and the tarot cards. We have no bias as we know nothing about the couple. And I have been very impressed by the openness and understanding that is created by a reading.
The card of mutual recognition and respect
I always do a Celtic cross for each person to look at what’s going on for the individual, after all whether we are in a relationship or not, we have our own path, hopes and fears, strengths etc. I find that interesting in itself so see how different or similar they may be, quite often one is more focussed on the relationship, the other on career and money perhaps.
With that information we then move onto a spread that is specifically about the relationship, what is going on, the best course of action, and can look at any issue or question asked.
Overall my conclusion is the benefit is that both have insights and understand about the other, both give each other the respect and recognition of what they are going through, and at the same time are able to have more clarity about the dynamic in the relationship. Also, a big thing, in a tarot reading, things can be said, that perhaps the individual is having difficulty expressing to their partner. As the impartial third party in a reading I have no knowledge of the relationship and am just reading the cards so issues can come out in the open with ease.
It has certainly been very satisfying to me to experience couples having kind and constructive conversations about their relationships. And texting a thank you later. Thank you. They are brave people. Having a relationship is an act of bravery. They take work. Bravo to all of you.
