Tarot to manifest….
I’m constantly saying ‘I read Tarot to help fulfil potential not to predict the future. I believe we create our future in every thought, word and deed’….from the thought we are having now to the next and the subsequent action etc. So whatever a tarot reader might say you, we, are the activators of our future. And in my view it is vital for each of us to feel we are the agents of our lives rather than be at the whim of ‘destiny’.
The best tarot reading gives you insight and clarity about what is going and guidance and inspiration about the future. The key often is in gaining clarity about what we really want, because once we know what we really want, all the other distractions fall away and our passion, enthusiasm, optimism is re-kindled to create the future.
Is ‘create our future’ the same as ‘manifest our future’? The word ‘manifesting’ has become a bit commercialised, however as long as both are based in the idea that this life is a co-creation, we are co-manifesting with the divine, the cosmos, spirit, universal consciousness (for want of better words) I’m ok. And why I am reminded why Gratitude is a essential part of manifesting!
Remembering to be grateful for what we have today before embarking on requests for tomorrow. My dearest god daughter reminded me recently that when she prays, she starts with saying thank you for all the wonders in her life, her children, husband, family, health, job etc. and then adds her prayer/wish. So with that in mind here is a Manifesting Spread that intrigued me.
The first four cards of an eight card Manifesting Spread…..
The Sun crowns, the Hierophant roots, support two Wands & Temperance
1. What does my highest self truly want to manifest?
The Sun …I always think of the Sun being a card that encourages us be our full expression, to fully express ourselves out into the world. The Sun has a yang masculine energy, a feeling of energy radiating out to nourish and bring every living thing into life. It is certainly life enhancing! The card portrays a naked child riding a white stallion, no hands, no bridle. He is riding from a grey stone wall with sunflowers waving in the background. He’s over the wall and full of renewed energy! He shines, he is full of optimism and positivity to express himself out into the world!
2. What obstacles or limiting beliefs?
Two of Wands, representing a choice in fire, creativity, inspiration, exciting options, choices that may be out of our comfort zone. As a limiting belief perhaps we don’t believe we have exciting ones? Perhaps we are being encouraged to make choices out of our comfort zone.
3. What intention should I focus on to bring what I want to manifest to life?
Temperance. Temperance, patience, trust. Trust that divine guidance will give sign posts, show the way….you don’t have to be so proactive, or reactive. I always think with the Temperance card we are being encouraged to cool our emotions (fear, self doubt, dissatisfaction) and allow a space for the universe to ‘do its thing/turn up somehow’. After all it is a co-creation. And that by holding steady in temperance (instead of all that pushing forward, wanting, chasing) there is a promise of a new dawn. Patience and Trust …and perhaps in my case adopt a more temperate life style!
4. What first step can I take toward manifesting this……
The Heirophant represents moral purpose, partnership, traditional values, the wisdom of our ancestors, the teacher, mentor.. a conduit between worlds, the passing on of wisdom, initiation. Remembering our marriage/partnership with the universe and what truly gives us purpose.
6 of pentacles, 4 of swords, 9 of swords, Death…
5. What signs will I receive when manifestation is on its way…
Six of pentacles, the card of ‘what you give so you receive’, the card of reciprocity, karma, like the Justice card, cause and effect, the scales represent fairness and finding the balance of exchange of energy and money, it speaks of community, charity, generosity, of having enough to give to others, of receiving in return for what we give. It doesn’t have to be about material gifts or money it can be about giving our time and presence.
6. What outside assistance is available to help me manifest…..
Nine of swords – anxiety, regret, stress, worry. The nine of swords is the ultimate stress card I find, especially stressing about past regrets. Or just stressing because we live in such speedy lives. Its message is all that is behind us, see the swords in the card, stop dwelling on it, certainly absorb the lesson. No pain no gain. So many times our greatest gifts and learnings come out of our failures. This card says address what needs to be addressed….avoiding it will give you sleepless nights for sure. I suppose the above is all the reasons for a tarot reading?
7. Where can I focus my gratitude to amplifying this more
Death, end of an era, beginning of a new, the card of transformation. The king is dead long live the new king. Life is too short, friends are dying, get on with it. Focus gratitude on the end of one era and the beginning of another, death, transitioning, transformation….the cycle of the dragonfly, a symbol of life after death comes to mind. Are we being asked to let go of our past selves and embrace a new era.
8. How can I pay forward what I receive from this manifestation? –
Four of swords. Take time Out, Pause, meditate, know thyself, align to truth. live with Integrity.
in short, my highest self wants to full expression, get excited about the choices ahead that are out of my comfort zone, don’t be impatient embrace Temperance, first step remind myself of my purpose to be of service to others via Tarot, reciprocity will unfold, focus gratitude on the life that is now dead but which is birthing a transformation to new era, pay forward by taking time out, pause, tune into yourself and align integrity.
