Sometimes a two card tarot reading is all you need. Yesterday was a perfect example of pulling two cards that told me in no uncertain terms…stop being a misery guts and get on with what needs doing!

We often describe the Queen of Pentacles as the Queen of hearth and home in the sense of being the kind of mother that makes sure all the practical things of a home are done. Housekeeping applies to all sorts of aspects of life, not just the home. And often applies to business. By being organised and getting on with the practical things of life you bring value. 

Although the five of cups looks very despondent looking at three cups spilled before him while ignoring the two cups standing, and it can describe genuine loss and sadness, it can just be describing a tendency to focus on what you don’t have before you rather than what you do.  It can be a kind of avoidance.  As clearly in my case it was saying come on girl, turn around look at the two cups up, you’ve got cups to materialise.  Get into the Queen of Pentacles mode, she’s the kind of person who brings value to life by getting the practical things done so things can flourish. 

This Queen is grounded in the practicalities that create value.

The Queen of Pentacles is the kind of mother who shows her love for her family by getting practical.   She’s not particularly emotional, or intellectual, or creative and passionate about wanting to do her own thing, no her skill is in her desire for everyone in her family, including herself to fulfil their potential and the way she does this is by making sure everyone has what they need, are where they are supposed to be, there’s a sense of safety and organisation, good food in on the table and the house is clean and homely so that her family can flourish. That’s the value her love brings.

She can be the producer in a tv production, making sure everyone has their practical needs met including a healthy environment for creative people to flourish. There’s a beauty in being organised and practical. Being productive is more profitable.  She brings value!

Today I am conscious there’s a lot of housekeeping to be attended to in order to fulfil potential and profitability!
