How to read two card tarot spreads…
In a two card reading the first card speaks of the overall situation, gives an overall perspective, the second is more of a clarifying, elucidating card, unless of course after looking at the first card, you ask another question in which case it becomes more of an advice card.
Here are a few quick examples
Question ‘whats going on at work?’
Taking time out to think things through before moving forward with new offer
Four of Swords…..time out, aligning thoughts, time to contemplate, a pause
Knight of cups…. An emotional offer.
My reading said, things are being carefully assessed and considered at work, proceed with the intention that you will be offered a position you like.
Question ‘ what’s going on with my health?’
A release of emotion, renewal and healing keeping give and take in balance
Ace of Cups……emotional release, healing, fresh spring, vulnerability, emotional opening
Six of Pentacles….the balance of give and take, the card of reciprocity, what you give so you receive, healthy balance of energy
My reading said, healing is happening, release stuck energy in the body. Keep the energy of give and take in balance. Consider how to invest in your healthy recovery, what you give (perhaps financial) to other practitioners or (energetically) toward different healing modalities to build good health.
Question ‘How to cope with daily life’
Ten of Wands and Justice two card reading…
Put down the burden. You can do it, just don’t make it such hard work by burdening yourself with trying to achieve everything, put something down, and look up, ‘you can’t see the wood for the trees’ when you are carrying such a sense of responsibility .
Find balance. On the one hand be true to yourself and at the same time on the other be prepared to compromise, find balance, be compassionate and fair to others, yourself and life’s circumstances.
A final pair was the Hanged Man and Ten of Cups
My reading.
Yes this is a time to surrender to what is…that is the price to pay for peace of mind …..you are ‘in limbo’…..focus on what brings you emotional fulfilment and happiness. See blogs.
Ten of Cups…..emotional fulfilment for yourself and others.

The more I read Tarot the more I realise what a wonderful tool is is to not only bring more understanding and insight into any situation so we feel calmer and more confident but it also works as brilliant problem solver. I find once I have can see the issue clearly and what needs to be done. I’m inspired to take action (because the tarot gives me the confidence that it is the right thing to do). I have eternally been a procrastinator. The tarot takes away all that doubt and hesitation. I just pull a card and somehow it settles me into a space when I am able to connect with the insight of the card and integrate it with my own thoughts and intuition and suddenly I have the confidence and clarity to move forward. I feel more energised, and hopeful.
Having been a life coach twenty years ago, before my TV career, I realise the Tarot is an uncanny bridge to the meaning we bring to things, our values and desires, as well as helps us identify problems or challenges and brings solutions and advice for the best way forward.
Everything is down to intention and trust. And setting intentions! Having monthly or even weekly tarot reading check-ins is invaluable self care.
