Tarot for when you are at a Crossroads

In a funny way we’re always at a crossroads, there are things we need to let go of,  little changes, adjustments, add-ons all of which can make an enormous difference in the direction of travel and destination.

Do we carry straight on, or do we take a slight turn, or even need to take a sharp left bend?

Or goodness sometimes a U turn.

And do we have the impetus, will power, motivation?

What will give it to us?

A tarot reading can help.  I always start with the ten card Celtic cross as it gives us a snapshot of what is going on right now, the past influence and potential ahead…often I follow up with this tarot spread for simple clarity.

six of wands and the Star tarot card

I was surprised when I did this reading for myself.  Card no 1 represents you in relationship to a crossroads. Surprised because instead of being alerted to my shortcomings, my first card was the six of cups which it the card of being recognised for your talents and achievement….and actually as a tarot reader it is of course the way to start any reading…..by acknowledging our endeavours, successes, natural talents.

Card no 2 = The Star, Card no 3 = the Lovers, Card no 4 = Ten of Cups

It seemed a bit good to be true so I pulled card no 2. where to focus/best way forward and I got the star….to me it’s the card of renewal, healing, new possibility and encourages us to have bright hopes. As it happens I have been going through a bit of a health challenge and so was very grateful to see new possibility coming out of said healing and renewal

Card no 3, the question, I had one question, should I do X or Y? and I got the Lovers!  Talk about reminding me it was my choice, up to me to choose what I wanted. The Lovers is a powerful Major Arcana card that reminds that we have choice. And that if we choose to connect to love, divine guidance will show us the way.

Card no 4. What to let go of. 10 0f Cups.

While the ten of cups is about emotional fulfilment for yourself and others, it obviously has a strong connection to family and family relationships….that are not necessarily so easy. I often see this card when people have an idealised idea of about getting married and having children.

For me, I read this card, as there’s no such thing as happy families, let go of that expectation. The heart of the Ten of cups is the happy home and reminds us to return to our own heart and home for emotional fulfilment .

How very encouraging. Thank you Tarot, just what I needed to hear.

Do come and have a reading with me to reconnect you to your own heart and home.
